Award-winning journalist, Barbara Demick, explores the fall of the Tibetan monasteries during the brutal takeover of Mao. It sets us on the last princess of the Mei Dynasty. It is very readable, and the author was an award-winning journalist who explores corners of the world that are resisting brutal change. It is very entertaining as it focuses on the last princess and her journey through communist China, as well as other Tibetans underlining how entrepreneurial they can be.
