Kitty Greenwald has written the Wall Street Journal’s Slow Food Fast column since the paper’s lifestyle section, Off Duty, launched over a decade ago. The section has won a James Beard Award for best general food coverage and the book she co-authored, Slow Fires, has also been nominated for a James Beard Award and an IACP award for best general cookbook. She also hosts a monthly live cooking demo for WSJ and, over the years, worked on numerous projects related to the column and beyond.
Greenwald’s other writings have been published and featured in The New York Times, All Things Considered, Eater, New York Magazine, Saveur and more. Before writing about food, Kitty launched Etsy’s food program and before that she cut her teeth in professional kitchens in California, Washington DC, France, Italy and Portugal.
